Crafting an exquisite and unexpectedly harmonious blend around a quartet of mandarin, violet, immortelle, and suede, these two visionary artists have given life to a new world: Ganymede, inspired by the rocky satellite of Jupiter discovered in 1610 by Galileo. This moon is a mesmerizing interplay of luminosity and saltwater oceans, named after Greek mythology’s Ganymede, a youth of unparalleled beauty who was granted immortality by enamored gods.
Created by perfumer Quentin Bisch, Ganymede draws upon the suede-leathery notes that elevated B683 to classic status. In this iteration, the artists break free from convention, leading us to a realm of luminous and fluid elegance. The leather accords transform into a softer, more delicate presence when entwined with the essence of violet. Vibrant mandarin lends its vivaciousness and zesty core, setting the fragrance’s tone and verticality from the outset. In a captivating interplay, immortelle counters with its dual-natured aroma, alternately evoking minerals and sea salt. The entire composition dances with contrasts and juxtapositions, a symphony of olfactory harmony.
